With EvoTears® Omega, the new class of therapy for dry eyes has been expanded. EvoTears® Omega specifically addresses the problem of dry and irritated eyes caused by excessive evaporation of the tear film, due to an unstable or incomplete lipid (oil) layer of the tear film. In the majority of those affected with dry eyes, the lipid layer is impaired. Thanks to perfluorohexyloctane, EvoTears® Omega eye drops spread very quickly and quickly lay over the tear film like a protective coat, thus specifically replacing the impaired lipid layer and counteract premature evaporation effectively and sustainably. Dry eyes are often accompanied by a lack of omega-3 in the tear film. The Omega-3 contained in EvoTears® Omega thus also contributes to the development of the lipid phase.
