With EvoTears® a new class of therapy for dry eyes is available. EvoTears® specifically addresses the problem of dry eyes caused by excessive evaporation of the tear film due to an unstable or incomplete lipid (oil) layer of the tear film. In the majority of those affected with dry eyes, the lipid layer is impaired. Thanks to perfluorohexyloctane, EvoTears® eye drops spread very quickly and quickly lay over the tear film like a protective coat. Thus, the impaired lipid layer is specifically replaced, premature evaporation is prevented and the discomfort of dry eyes is effectively reduced.
